This site has been set up to serve as a link to aid everyone in the participation in the silent auction scheduled to begin on November 23, 2009.
Our silent auction is planned to raise money to help support Jill Sarka's family. Jill is a member of our clinical department and OIP family for 3 years. Jill's 22 year old son, Danny, battled the life threatening lung disease cystic fibrosis. He lost his battle on October 27, 2009 at Cleveland Clinic in Ohio.
A few friends got together to decide on a way to raise money to help lighten the financial strain currently facing the family. We decided on holding a silent auction with all proceeds being donated to the Sarka family.
And this brings us to where we are today. We've sent out the word to coworkers, physicians, family, and friends for donations and the response has been amazing. I'm very encouraged and excited that we will have a wonderful auction with lots of really nice items. We will continue to gather and confirm items for the next few days before compiling a list. We plan on listing and displaying items here so remember to check back often.
